blogging-competitionPsst, hey you, you wanna blog? C’mon, every one is doing it! You want to be cool, don’t you? OK, not trying to drag up high school memories, but there definitely is some peer pressure when it comes to blogging or embracing new technology.

Your competitors are already or will soon be blogging.

They are reaping the rewards of blogging – traffic, high ranking in the search engines, having customers know them more personally, getting to know their customers better, delivering content the way their customers want to receive it.

Show off your originality, your corporate culture, what makes you special in the market place. You want to stand out from your competition and a blog is the perfect way to do that.

Imagine you want to go to a restaurant, so you look up so local places online (yes, people do this all the time). A few restaurants just have a one page site up. One other one has a menu, but it says it is from the Spring of 2007 – so they still offer those items?

Then you find one that has a beautifully designed site and it has a blog. You scroll over to the blog and you read about the specials that week. You read about how the chef grows his own heirloom tomatoes for the roasted tomato soup. You read the Jenny, one of the hostesses, loves the new artichoke dish.

What restaurant sounds more appealing to you? Yeah, we thought so too. A blog is important to your brand. But a GREAT blog is even more important. Your competition may have a blog, but with our help, you can have a great one, that people want to subscribe too.

So yes, you want to have a blog because your competition has one or soon will, but more important, you want to have a great blog that your customers and prospects will enjoy reading. It will not only generate website traffic, but traffic right to your door.

An exceptional small business blog is going to get you noticed. And being noticed is good for business.
