You have a killer small business blog, your readers (prospects and customers) are interacting, and web traffic is coming in. Great!
You have written a lot of content on your blog. In fact, some of your best marketing is on there. (By this point in the series, you can see that blogging is effective marketing, right?). You can repurpose your blogging content (or writing) for other uses. Don’t you just love recycling?
Ideas to reuse your blog content:
- newsletter content
- Industry publications
- brochures
- instruction booklets
- free reports
- trades show content
- speeches
- conferences
- other parts of your website
And guess what? Your other marketing materials can also be reused on your blog.
Ideas to reuse your marketing materials:
- turn newsletter content into blog posts
- reuse audio (teleseminars or speeches)
- reuse video (product info, demos, conferences, or speeches)
- share industry publications (with permission)
- offer brochure or report downloads
- customer testimonials
A blog does not have to be all 100% original content, 100% of the time. Reuse what you already have paid for, to educate your customers on a different platform. And reuse your blog posts in other, more traditional, ways. That is recycling at it’s best!
